Sesam GDPR Platform came in second in a contest arranged by The Norwegian Data Protection Authority. The finalists of the "Privacy by Design" contest was announced 5th of March at the National library. Of the 21 submitted contributions, the jury was left with three finalists. The Norwegian Directorate of eHealth (NDE) was awarded first place for their project "Kjernejournal" (Summary Care Record). We congratulate!.

Sesam and the University of Oslo shared the second place. Being a finalist together with two public institutions of this size made us very proud. It indicates that we have succeeded in delivering a service that helps businesses comply with the rights of the data subject in a safe and cost-effective manner.

The aim of the competition was to focus on and establish privacy-enhancing technologies. The Norwegian Data Protection Authority aimed at highlighting good examples. Particularly important for the jury`s decision was that the solution would make it easier for businesses to act in accordance to the General Data Protection Regulation and to strengthen the information security of the personal data processed by the company.

The Data Protection Authority also emphasized how the Sesam solution can clean up old systems in relation to the data subject´s rights. This is a great recognition to us, as we believe that no IT-systems can operate in isolation.
